Privacy policy

This policy describes the features currently provided by Denver Mobility News, an independent technology publication focused on Denver, Colorado.

Information you provide

If you join our newsletter launch list, we store your email address, your consent, and the time of your request. We use that information to record your interest in newsletter updates. The current signup records requests; it does not send a newsletter or a confirmation email.

If you contact the editorial desk by email, your email provider and ours process that correspondence. Include only the information needed for your request.

Website operation

Firebase stores publication content, uploaded images, and launch-list requests. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process connection information, including IP addresses and request logs, to deliver and protect the site.

Administrator sign-in uses an essential session cookie lasting up to eight hours. Reader accounts are not required. Optional analytics and advertising are described below.

Optional analytics

When configured, we offer a choice to allow or decline analytics. Google Analytics 4 loads only after you allow it. Google may process cookies, browser and device information, IP addresses, and usage events to help us understand readership. We track page views, article views, category visits, searches, and newsletter button clicks. We do not send newsletter email addresses or raw search text in these events, and we remove query strings from the page URLs we send.

With analytics enabled and your permission, we also record approximate article view counts in Firebase. Temporary random event identifiers help avoid counting retries twice; these records do not contain your email address or IP address. View counts are estimates, not a count of unique people. Your analytics preference is stored in your browser. You can change it through Analytics preferences at the bottom of public pages. Declining prevents further tracking by this integration; it does not erase previously collected data. See how Google uses information from partner sites.

Advertising and cookies

Advertising integration is optional and disabled until configured. When Google AdSense advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses, device information, and browsing activity to deliver and measure ads, limit repeated ads, and help detect fraud. Advertising cookies can enable personalized ads based on visits to this and other websites. Non-personalized ads may also use cookies for measurement and security.

Where consent is required, advertising must be configured with the appropriate consent controls before it is activated. You can adjust your browser cookie settings and manage Google ad personalization through My Ad Center. Blocking cookies may affect advertising features. Preparing these advertising locations does not mean this publication has been approved by Google AdSense. We will update this policy and available privacy controls when advertising is activated.

Images and external links

Articles may include images served by third-party hosts and links to other websites. Loading an externally hosted image can share connection information with its host. Social sharing buttons link to external services; their policies apply when you use them.

Access and retention

Newsletter records are private and accessible through authorized administrative systems. We retain launch-list requests until they are removed following a reader request or administrative review. We do not sell the launch-list records collected by this site.

Your choices

Submitting a newsletter request is optional. You may request removal or ask about information you submitted through our contact page. If newsletter delivery is introduced, messages will include a way to unsubscribe.
